Frequently Asked Questions

How It Works

At Rixa Health, we do not require any contract or commitment. When you sign up for an initial visit with us, you will receive an intake form to fill out. Once this is completed, your appointment will be confirmed. If there is anything on the form that disqualifies you from our program, we will reach out to notify you prior to your visit and you will not be charged. During the visit we will review your history, discuss your goals, discuss options for your treatment plan and prescribe medications. You will then need to follow up with us to refill the medications. Follow up visits are once a month for the first 6 months. If you do not follow up with us at all within 90 days, at any point in your treatment with us, you will need to fill out a new patient intake the next time we see you to start treatment again.

Visit Pricing

Please visit our Pricing page for the most up to date pricing. The price on our website for the monthly cost is all-inclusive. It includes your visit with a provider and your medications. There are no additional costs or hidden fees. Your credit card information is held when you book an appointment with us and it will not be charged until after your visit. As there are no contracts or commitments with Rixa Health, you will only see a charge for the plan we agree on, no monthly fees. Please note that there is a late-cancel or no-show fee.

Medication Pricing

With the exclusion of peptide therapy, your visit with the provider and the cost of medication for our weight loss program are now grouped into one cost. We will discuss the price of medications with you during the visit and you will be charged when you approve the plan and the price. The price for any of our other services is listed at the time of booking. Costs vary based on whether you need to see a provider or not as well as the medication or peptide you may be interested in. The prices for any of the other peptides we offer can be discussed as needed.

Compounding Medications

Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are part of a new class of medications originally developed to treat Type 2 Diabetes, however because of the profound weight loss they can lead to, they have since revolutionized obesity medicine. Because of this, there have been shortages of both medications nationwide for quite some time now. The shortage has prompted the FDA to allow pharmacies to compound Semaglutide and Tirzepatide formulas. We can offer these medications to you safely and effectively through our partner pharmacies.

Compounding Pharmacies

The FDA warns that not all forms of Semaglutide or Tirzepatide are safe or effective. Semaglutide and Tirzepatide can be made as a chemical salt (sodium or acetate) or as a chemical base. There have been reports of serious side effects from the salt compounds and there are no studies to show that the salt forms even work. Despite this, the salt forms have been widely sold online by unlicesned pharmacies. The approved base forms need to be manufactured under very stringent guidelines and conditions, which are inspected by the FDA. These medications must be prepared in a completely sterile environment. Authentic compounded medication must be prescribed by a licensed provider and purchased from legitimate and licensed compounding pharmacies who obtain their products from FDA approved companies around the world, and whose physical sites have been inspected and approved for sterility by the FDA. At Rixa Health, we ONLY partner with these legitimate, licensed pharmacies that are dispensing sterile, effective and safe medication to our patients.
